    Where? When? Who?

  • I don't currently have a space to teach at home, but I may be willing to travel to your house if it is not too far from me. Times of lessons are negotiable. I'm happy to teach children and adults from beginners to advanced players.

    • Minimum age requirement

  • The youngest age for most children to start playing the oboe is around 8 or 9, but the main requirement is that they have their adult teeth through (apart from wisdom teeth).

    • Prices

  • Lessons are currently £27/hour; most people have 30 minute lessons, at £13.50.

    • Teaching style

  • Lessons take place in a safe, enjoyable and encouraging atmosphere where students can develop their musical talents.
  • The focus is on a broad musical education to encourage a love and understanding of music, which students will eventually be able to apply in a range of different ways.

    • Exams

  • My students' pass rate for grade exams is 100% (often with distinction) - although I am also happy to teach those who don't want to take exams.
